A Tradition Honored

Earlier, I wrote about the Marines and Friends Caribbean Cruise that Tony Tijerina and I, together with our wives, host each year. The cruise features the traditional Marine Corps Cake Cutting Ceremony that honors all Marines, past and present.

The cruise truely is for everyone.  We few, we mighty few are joined by veterans of all services. Our friends and family members also join in the celebration!!

In fact, less than half of the small band of merry men and women aboard our cruise vacation actually served in the Marines. All, however have some connection to the military, and enjoy the cruise every year.

The actual ceremony is less than an hour in length. We enjoy  other new traditions throughout the week.
On this cruise we enjoy:

  • Pre-cruise shore party
  • Sail Away party
  • Pool side deck party
  • Pirate Night
  • Our Amazing Race
  • Group dinners
  • Slot Pull
  • Musicals & Comedy Shows
  • Group Excursions

Why do we do it? Because we should, because we can, and most importantly, it is a whole bunch of fun!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year as we welcome new friends aboard!!
