Group Cruises are fun, and save vacation funds!
There are more and more savvy consumers choosing the value of a cruise vacation as more ships enter the market every year. One great way to add value is to cruise as group, most cruise lines consider a group of eight cabins or more as a group.

How hard can it be?
It is easy to set up a group cruise, the smart choice is to use a group travel consultant, we work with a majority of cruise lines and will assist in the group booking process.
Best Advantage of Small Groups of 8-16 Cabins is that there are no upfront costs, which simplifies the process with zero monetary risks. One group cruise we do each year is the Marines and Friends Cruise, we create the group with 16 cabins which locks in our group pricing, very similar to making a hotel reservation. As guests join our group, they select their cabin category, location and pay their deposits individually.
There are also no penalties for failing to book all 16 cabins that are blocked, for example, groups that only book 6 or 7 cabins, after a published deadline, all cabins not sold are removed from the block, and returned to the cruise line to book to the public. Inversely, all cabins booked beyond the 16 cabins are still allowed to be moved into the group and will enjoy the same amenities as the first 16 cabins.
Group Amenities are small incentives that are offered to the group organizer to select for the group. The amenities available are based on how many cabins are booked into your group. These amenities include additional on-board credit for each cabin, cocktail social for the group, special group dining events, and other amenities that vary from cruise line to cruise line. We almost always select the additional on-board credit.
When blocking more than 16 Cabins, the cruise lines will require deposits on all cabins reserved by a certain date.
So, the next time you are considering a cruises, think about inviting friends and family. Family or class reunions, wedding parties, your local sports team or fan club, or even an office get away for 5-7 days!
